i grew up listening to a lot of disco because my mom likes it so much. she had big hair back in mexico during the 70s, so people gave her the nickname “donna summer.”
so whenever i hear a donna summer song i’m reminded of times when i was little dancing at home with my mom or just spending time doing the most random things with her.
my mom + i always hoped to see her live one day but sadly that’ll never happen.
nevertheless the music keeps playing, + most importantly i’m still blessed to have my wonderful mom with me to enjoy it with.
rip disco queen.
Yasmeen Ismail’s illustrations take me to a very bright + happy place. beautiful work.

i’m trying to win a trip to new york to attend creative week + the awards for the one club. (my teammates + i won their creative bootcamp in january. we just submitted our campaign for their college level contest).
just “like” the photo on facebook (the one with the most by the 30th wins). [click the photo above to be linked to photo]
+if you could reblog or share the facebook link with others i would really appreciate it! thanks.
while you’re at it take a look at the other entries. there’s some nice work in there.
the ability to bring magic to tiki birds, flying nannies, small worlds, life’s bare nessecities, wonderful tiggers + so much more, is irreplaceable.
it’s a gift of pure imagination + talent.
thanks for all the great music robert.
our tomorrows will always be a bit greater, bigger + beautiful because of it.
